The term "ops" is a street slang that describes adversaries, popularized through drill music. I am delving into the incident involving WNBA player Britney Griner's 10-months in a Russian prison. "Window of Ops" captures the opportunity afforded to American players by the Russian League to earn higher incomes. It sheds light on the salary disparity between male and female players. Lastly, "Win Dough Of Ops" underscores the risks associated with seizing such financial opportunities.
This work examines the polarized debates around marijuana legalization and gun laws by framing them as two competing “side piece” relationships within American society. Using collaged shooting-target paper, symbolic gestures, and charged color systems, the figures embody “piece” versus “peace,” with doors, locks, and everyday objects transformed into metaphors for the Second Amendment, incarceration, and shifting drug policies. Hands replace heads to emphasize action over rhetoric.
